We know your immigration journey involves sensitive personal information. This page explains, in plain language, how MyF1Status handles your data and the controls we have in place.

This page is maintained by MyF1Status to answer common security and privacy questions about the app. It describes our current practices and the capabilities of the platform we build on. It is editable project content and is not a security certification or an independent audit.

Accounts & Authentication

Access to your personal journey requires an account. Authentication and sessions are managed by our backend provider. Passwords are never stored by us in plain text, and pages that contain your personal data require you to be signed in. Email confirmation is required when you sign up.

Data Access Controls

Your immigration profile, statuses, dates, tasks, and checklist items are scoped to your own account. We use row-level access rules so that one user cannot read or modify another user's records.

What We Collect & Why

We collect the information you provide to power your journey: your name, country, university and program details, immigration statuses and key dates, and the tasks or checklist items you create. This data is used only to generate your personalized timeline, readiness checklist, and reminders.

Hosting & Infrastructure

MyF1Status is built and hosted on the Lovable platform, which provides the application hosting, managed database, and authentication infrastructure. Payment processing, when you subscribe, is handled by our payment provider — we do not store full card details.

Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate core features of the app. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention & Deletion

You can update your profile and journey data at any time from within the app. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, contact us using the email below and we will process your request.
